On Friday we waved goodbye to Soph, Robin and Miles, who have been in England for the last two weeks - part of which was spent with us in Maida Vale, and part in Northamptonshire for Rob's cousin's wedding.
They first arrived early on a Saturday morning after a long trip over from Sydney. Apparently Miles was very well behaved for his first international journey.
It was a beautiful day so we decided to head down to Regents Park for a picnic.
We met up with Soph and Pete's cousin Noum and the gang down at the park for a bit of football (soccer that is...) and a relaxing picnic. After the picnic, we went for a quick drink at Rob's cousin's place in Primrose Hill.
On Sunday we drove south to the Fletcher's place in Kent for lunch. Another beautiful spring day and there was a local air show on too so we had a great view of the planes as they were looping back to the airstrip.
On the following weekend, we drove up to Northamptonshire to visit the Beards (i.e. Rob's family). We had a great lunch at the local pub...
...and then went for a walk through the fields.
We caught a bit of the wildlife on film - sorry, just feeling a bit artistic!
We found an old train tunnel and went in to explore. It was pitch black, until the whole thing went a bit 'X-Files' on us...
